Intake cleaning by walnut blasting
Diesel engines with an EGR valve and direct-injection petrol engines (TSI, TFSI and others) gradually clog their intake and intake valves with carbon. We blast it away with crushed walnut shell granules without damaging the engine.

Frequently asked questions
Why walnut blasting rather than chemicals?
Chemical cleaners won't remove hard carbon from the valves. Walnut blasting removes it mechanically and is gentle on the metal.
How often does it need doing?
We recommend it every 80 000 km at the latest, or sooner if you do lots of short journeys. It makes sense to combine it with, for example, a timing belt or chain replacement.
